Description:

The work generally consists of furnishing all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, and other incidental and appurtenant work necessary for the application of Type II slurry seal and asphalt rubber aggregate membrane (ARAM) pavement surface at various designated streets within the City of San Gabriel.  Type II slurry seal with fiber reinforcement shall be used in lieu of regular Type II slurry seal if material and application costs are determined to be feasible.  The work also includes sweeping before and after slurry seal applications; removing of grease spots (by grinding); all necessary traffic control and public notifications; posting signs for “NO PARKING” and arranging for towing of cars, if necessary.  All required installation and construction shall be performed by the Contractor as specified in the project plans, specifications, special provisions and contract documents, and as directed by the Engineer.

Special Requirements:
All bidders shall be licensed in accordance with provisions of the Business and Professions Code and shall possess a Class “A” State Contractor’s License at the time this contract is awarded. The Successful Contractor and his subcontractors will be required to possess business licenses from the City of San Gabriel and maintain current until completion of the project. Business licenses can be purchased or renewed at the Finance Department at 425 S Mission Drive, San Gabriel, CA.
