This past Saturday, hundreds of local residents gathered at the San Gabriel Mission in the early morning to walk to El Pueblo de Los Angeles, honoring the path established by Los Angeles’ earliest settlers in 1781. This year, the walk honored Los Angeles’ 236th birthday and reaffirmed the San Gabriel Mission as the birthplace of Los Angeles.
