Looking for something fun to do this summer? Take a trip with the Kids’ Travel Club! The Community Services Department is planning trips to Knott’s Berry Farm, Raging Waters and to Smith Park for the Annual Penny Carnival. There is a cost for both Knott’s Berry Farm and Raging Waters and you can register at the Community Services Department, 250 S. Mission Dr., or at one of the many free drop-in programs at Smith Park, Roosevelt Elementary School, Washington Elementary School, Jefferson Middle School and McKinley Elementary/Vincent Lugo Park. The dates, times and costs of the trips are as follows:
Knott’s Berry Farm: July 6
Depart: 9 am
Return: 6 pm
Cost: $32
Penny Carnival:
Friday, July 21 - 10 am to 1:00 pm at Smith Park
Raging Waters: August 3
Depart: 9 am
Return: 5 pm
Cost: $40
Trips are for ages 6 years and older. A Recreation Leader will supervise all participants under the age of 12 that are not accompanied by an adult. Departures and returns for the trips will be at the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse parking lot, 320 S. Mission Dr.
