The San Gabriel Public Works Department will host its annual Public Works Day on Thursday, May 25 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at Vincent Lugo Park (corner of Wells and Ramona).
The event is free and open to the public. Guests will enjoy a FREE barbecue lunch and FREE giveaways. There will be booths from various utilities and contractors that service San Gabriel, including Athens Services, West Coast Arborists, San Gabriel County Water District, Southern California Edison and the San Gabriel Humane Society.
The city’s celebration will be held in conjunction with National Public Works Week. This year’s theme for the event is "Public Works Connects Us," which speaks to the essential nature of Public Works’ services for everyday quality of life in the community.
Event attendees will have a chance to see equipment demonstrations from Public Works staff and learn more about how city crews work hard to take care of parks, streets, sidewalks, trees, signals, sewers and storm drains.
