San Gabriel's Economic Development (ED) Division continues to find innovative ways to bring people into the historic Mission District to support the local businesses. Last Thursday evening the ED Division held a successful Wine, Dine & Dance event at the Mission Playhouse Plaza. With the weather gods on our side, it was a beautiful evening filled with people both young and young at heart enjoying themselves in the Mission District. The community was encouraged to enjoy dinner in the district before coming out to learn the Flamenco and Tango, enjoy wine tasting, photo booth fun and practice their new dance moves on the open dance floor.

Over the past year, the Economic Development Division has worked closely with the Mission Playhouse to merge art and economic development in order to activate and rebrand the Mission District into a cultural and entertainment district.
