This week, the Community Development Department launched a brand new economic development website, part of an ongoing effort to make the city more business friendly.
The website, at www.sangabrieled.com is dedicated entirely to economic development and includes a host of resources and features to help the city attract new business, assist developers and business owners and boost the overall city image. Among the website's resources are a downloadable copy of the city’s marketing packet, information about the city’s diversity and tourism, an interactive “animated demographics” page, data on development opportunity sites in the city, information on upcoming events and articles featuring city restaurants and local shopping spots.
The website also includes features that align with the city’s Business Friendly Action Plan, such as the “guide to doing business,” which is available in multiple languages and assists interested business owners in following city processes from beginning to end. With the new website, the city also aims to attract exciting businesses to the city, including large-scale and national tenants that have been long-desired by San Gabriel residents, as well as unique, up-and-coming independent retailers.
This new website is a one-stop shop where developers, business owners, renters and realtors can find all the information they need in one place that is easy to navigate and intuitive to the businessperson.
