The entire community will bring in the Year of the Fire Rooster in just a few short months at the 3rd Annual San Gabriel Lunar New Year Festival on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017.
The festival has grown every year since the inaugural event in 2015. Last year's event drew an estimated 7,000 people to the Mission District for a day filled with free family fun.
This year, the event will include a dance competition, street food fair, crafts village, dessert land, a chalk art competition, beer and wine garden, art and shopping, a kids zone and free live entertainment all day on the main festival stage. The festival is free to attend and open to everyone.
The San Gabriel Lunar New Year Festival will go from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the historic Mission District. Stay tuned for more details on the event Facebook page (Facebook.com/sglunarnewyear), @SGLunarNewYear on Twitter and www.sglunarnewyear.org.
The festival is sponsored by the City of San Gabriel, KSCI LA 18 and Hilton Los Angeles/San Gabriel. For more information, or to participate as a vendor, sponsor or community group, email sain@kcmagency.com or call the Community Services Department at 626.308.2875.
