On Wednesday, Nov. 2, residents will have a chance to meet newly appointed Police Chief Eugene Harris at the first "411 With the Chief" event.

Harris plans to host these informal meet and greet events on every first Wednesday of the month following the inaugural event on Nov. 2. The event is a chance for community members to ask questions, voice concerns and just get to know the new chief.

Harris took over the Police Department in October, replacing outgoing Chief David Lawton, who had served as chief for 26 years. Harris has many new plans for the department, and will share those ideas at the event.

"411 With The Chief" will go from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2 in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 425 S Mission Drive.
