In observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the city is participating this October in the 13th Annual Domestic Violence Collection Drive, organized by Congresswomen Judy Chu and Grace Napolitano.

A purple box will be available in City Hall, 425 S Mission Drive, for community members to drop off items to help victims of domestic violence. Requested items include clothing for women and children, toiletries, household cleaning products and children’s school supplies. Please do not donate breakable items. Items will be accepted through Nov. 1.

Donated items will go to one of five participating local organizations: Elizabeth House, Foothill Family Service, Pacific Lifeline, Project Sister Family Services and Shepherd’s Door.
