Short rib skewers, deep fried tofu, braised pork belly, lamb shoulder skewers - and the list goes on.
The menu at Chang'an Specialty Chinese Seafood & Grill is enough to make your mouth water on the spot. After all, the restaurant's stated goal is to "demonstrate Chinese cuisine’s glamour and bring modern Chinese cuisine to its well-deserved place in the culinary world."
Founded by a husband and wife team looking to achieve their "American Dream," the relatively new Chinese gastropub has already put itself on the map for unique, delicious cuisine in Los Angeles. And from July 18-31 Chang'an will represent San Gabriel in dineL.A.'s Restaurant Week.
Restaurant Week is a biannual two week event presented by the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board, that features special lunch and dinner menus at more than 300 restaurants in the Los Angeles region. During these two weeks, participating restaurants offer a special set menu during lunch and dinner.
No tickets are required for the event, just a hungry belly (although reservations are recommended). But Restaurant Week is also a great opportunity to enjoy a meal or two out at one of the many other great restaurants in the city of San Gabriel, even if they're not officially participating in Restaurant Week.
