For the 26th consecutive year, the city received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association.
The certificate recognizes the city's 2014-2015 fiscal year comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) and is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. The CAFR was judged by an impartial panel on various elements including demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate the city's financial story.
The City of San Gabriel Finance Department holds itself to high standards and aims to manage the city finances and maintain transparency to the public. This award is an important recognition of those goals.
