Want to learn basic emergency response skills so you can help your family and your community during a disaster? Come join our free CERT class in April!
CERT training promotes a partnership between local emergency service organizations and the people and communities they serve. The goal is for emergency personnel to train members of neighborhoods, community organizations, and workplaces in basic emergency response skills. CERT members may then be integrated into emergency response capability for their area.
During this three-day course, CERT members will learn basic response and organizational skills to help sustain life and protect property following a disaster until help arrives. The hands-on class and lecture will cover disaster management/preparation, medical operation, triage, search and rescue, and fire safety.
Class location: Fire Station 51 (1303 S Del Mar Ave, San Gabriel)
Class schedule:
April 13, 6pm to 9pm
