The City of San Gabriel and the San Gabriel Police Department are pleased to host the 28th annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2 from 5pm to 9pm. The community is invited to gather in the historic Mission District to enjoy a free and fun evening with food, a live DJ, a bounce house, games, and more!
Families, neighbors, and friends are encouraged to come learn about public safety and ways to build a safer community. Educational booths will be implemented throughout the event to promote public safety including K-9 demonstrations, information about the Neighborhood Watch Group, and exhibits of police, fire, and military vehicles and equipment.
National Night Out strengthens the community in the following ways:
Raises awareness of crime and drug prevention
Promotes support for and participation in local anti-crime programs
Strengthens neighborhood unity and police-community partnerships
Sends a message to criminals letting them know we are organized and fighting back
