The City of San Gabriel will be hosting Surf’s Up San Gabriel this Thursday, June 13 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the historic Mission District at 320 South Mission Drive. Surf’s Up San Gabriel is a beach themed party which serves as the kickoff event for the Summer in San Gabriel Series. Surf’s Up San Gabriel will be a family-friendly event filled with food trucks, live music, kids’ games, a beer & wine garden, and more fun. This year, we will have an inflatable rock-climbing wall, fire dancers, and Beach boys cover band.
The block party will feature performances by the Surf’s Up Band, a Polynesian dance performance and fire dancers. Participants may also enjoy food from several local food trucks and vendors, including Nomad’s Ice Pops, Rice Balls of Fire, Kona Ice, Kogi BBQ Taco Truck & Catering, Slammin’ Sliders and Steamy Bun Truck. A beer and wine garden will also be provided by the San Gabriel Chamber of Commerce.
You can continue to enjoy an entire summer program of events every Thursday evening until August 22nd. San Gabriel’s annual Summer in San Gabriel Series includes free concerts and movies every Thursday night at various sites throughout the City and at various times. In addition, there will be a series of community nights scheduled on Tuesday evenings between 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. where you can participate in activities like a dance workshop, paint night, open recreation evening, and much more.
