The following is a wrap-up of the December 4 City Council meeting. As always, you may view the full agenda here, or listen to a recording of last night’s meeting here.
The Symphony at San Gabriel – Assisted Living
By a unanimous vote, the City Council approved the adoption and second reading of Ordinance No. 646-c.s. – Located at the east side of South Gladys Avenue between East Grand Avenue and East El Monte Street, the proposed 197-unit senior center replaces the now-demolished Mission Lodge Sanitarium. The new project – known as the Symphony at San Gabriel – would assemble two properties and redevelop the three-acre site for senior independent living, assisted living and a memory care center. The building would include studio, one bedroom and two bedroom units, with valet service, a bar, several dining areas, a music room, a craft room, library, theater and exercise rooms designed for assisted living.
