The most important element of a great event is an excellent venue - after family and friends that is! The City of San Gabriel is proud to be able to share the Grapevine Arbor Park with those living within or outside of San Gabriel. The venue is the ideal destination for significant life events, such as weddings, anniversaries and birthday parties.

What sets it apart from other event spaces is its rich history. It hosts a small remnant of the "Old Grapevine,” whose trellised branches once covered 10,000 square feet. Planted in 1861, the famous grapevine gives this picturesque locale its name. As with many local vineyards, the arbor began as a cutting from the San Gabriel Mission’s “Mother Vine.” Wine made from these grapes was in great demand and in the late 1800s, the San Gabriel Winery was among the world’s largest.
