Spend your Independence Day at San Gabriel’s Kids’ Day and 4th of July Parade! The festivities will be held Wednesday, July 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Staff from the City and committee volunteers have worked hard to plan this year’s event, which provides an opportunity to celebrate our nation. The parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Plaza Park located at 428 South Mission Drive. The parade will travel north on Mission Drive and then east on Broadway. Following the parade, there will be a free Kids’ Day picnic at Smith Park, complete with a delicious barbecue, picnic games, community booths, watermelon eating contest, and much more! Parade entries will be accepted the day of the parade at Plaza Park. Be sure to bring your swim suit because there will also be free swimming at the Smith Park Pool from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We hope that you will come out and join us for this fun celebration!
