As you might have seen, the Mission Road crossing over the trench reopened to traffic late last week. The reopened crossing now features newly repaved transitions, along with new sidewalks along the trench.

New sidewalks near the Mission Road trench crossing
With the Mission Road crossing over the trench now open, construction crews will be concentrating on other portions of the San Gabriel trench project.
Mission Drive closure (from Santa Anita Street to Mission Road)
Beginning on November 20, Mission Drive (between Santa Anita Street and Mission Road) will be closed while construction crews work on concrete and asphalt paving road. During construction, you may access the City Hall parking lot from Santa Anita Street and McGroarty Street.
In addition, general trench construction along the railroad will occur from Monday to Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
San Gabriel Boulevard/Mission Road intersection improvements
In addition, work on the San Gabriel Boulevard and Mission Road intersection will move forward from November 20 to November 21. During this period, construction crews will be working on the grinding and paving for the intersection and along the four adjoining streets.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction, so please expect delays or use alternate routes if possible. Work performed on Monday and Tuesday will allow construction crews to complete paving before the Thanksgiving rush.
