Your child's safety and the safety of our staff is of the utmost importance.
The City of San Gabriel is following County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Below are the measures that the City of San Gabriel is taking to ensure the health and safety of your children:

  • High touch surfaces will be sanitized by staff at the end of each day.
  • Staff members and campers with known or suspected COVID-19 or who have been exposed to a person with known or suspected COVID-19 may not return to camp until they have met CDC criteria to discontinue home isolation.  This includes symptoms having improved, three (3) days with no fever, and 10 days since symptoms first appeared. Persons who have or may have been exposed should remain home for 14 days after exposure and self-monitor for symptoms.
    • Exposure based on CDC guidance means having close contact, less than six (6) feet, for 15 minutes or more, with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 or has symptoms.
  • Staff and campers are required to wear cloth face coverings while at camp, except while eating/drinking.
  • Staff and campers are required to wash their hands with soap and water throughout the day and utilize hand sanitizer when necessary.
  • Drinking fountains will not be available. Children should bring their own disposable or reusable water bottles.
  • Children will be kept in groups of 10 children or less per one (1) staff person and will remain part of the same group throughout their week at camp.
NEW PROTOCOL: The sign in procedures are as follows: Families are requested to remain 6 feet apart at all times. Parents will be asked if their child has experienced COVID-19 symptoms within the last 24 hours and whether anyone in their home has had COVID-19 symptoms or a positive test. Campers' temperatures will be taken at sign-in. If their temperature is 100.4 or higher and/or they reply yes, then they will be not be able to participate.
