The Wastewater Operations Division is responsible for operation and maintenance of the City's sewer system. The sewer system consists of 72 miles of of sewer lines, 1,350 sewer maintenance holes, and one sewer pump station. The Division also performs annual Fats, Oils, and Grease inspections for over 200 restaurants, handles and disposes hazardous materials, and strives to eliminate all Sanitary Sewer Overflows and keep the sewer lines flowing safely into LA county mains.
