January 22, 2023 marks the beginning of the Year of the Rabbit on lunar calendar. As in keeping with the character traits of the twelve animals in the Chinese zodiac, the Year of the Rabbit symbolizes peace, patience and many blessings.
We are ready to celebrate the festivity to release the pent-up emotions and enjoy this celestial offering of a holiday for an auspicious beginning.
This is KAZN’s first partnership with the city of San Gabriel, but not the radio station’s first community outreach effort. With years of large scale event-production experience, combined with the cooperation of the city, attendees can look forward to enjoying a successful multicultural festival.
10:00 a.m. - Lion Dance and Opening Ceremony
10:30 a.m. - Kids Lion Dance
10:40 a.m. - Dragon Dance
Noon to 3 p.m. - Hourly guided historical walking tours (tour begins at the Grapevine, located at the corner of Mission Dr & Santa Anita street)
