Commencing January 1, 2020, Senate Bill 978 will require local law enforcement agency to conspicuously post on their Internet Web sites all current standards, policies, practices, operating procedures, and education and training materials that would otherwise be available to the public if a request was made pursuant to the California Public Records Act.

Please note that the San Gabriel Police Department Policy Manual is a living document, which is subject to regular revisions and updates based on legislative changes and identified best practices. The SGPD Policy Manual will be updated on this site at least once annually, as part of our continued effort to remain transparent.
In addition to the San Gabriel Police Department Master Training Plan, which applies only to Police Department Employees, all City of San Gabriel Employees are required to attend specified mandatory training.
