Marshall Community Park

Proposed Park Design Plan

In one of the largest grant awards ever received by the City, San Gabriel has been awarded $4.6 million for the proposed Marshall Community Park project, a first-ever joint venture between the City and Garvey School District.

Construction will begin in the Spring of 2013 for Marshall Community Park, located at the former Marshall School site, on the corner of Jackson Avenue and Norwood Place.

Funded by the Prop 84 Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program of 2008, the park will be open 7:30 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. for recreational activities and family gatherings. The project includes a walking/jogging path, multi-purpose areas, playgrounds, covered picnic areas, restrooms and security lighting.
