We create community through people, parks, and programs!  We enhance our community by providing innovative community events, leisure time activities, and services to meet the recreational needs of the residents of our community.  We provide swim instruction for all ages and maintain and operate the Smith Park Pool complex.  With the San Gabriel Unified School District and the Garvey School District, we provide afterschool programs for our youth. 
For older adults we offer recreational programs, transportation, nutritional meals and assist with social services (case management).

We provide something for everyone at a reasonable cost through our interesting, fulfilling and fun activity classes for youth, adults and seniors. See the latest edition of our recreation guide, The Guide, for detailed information on classes, upcoming arts, cultural and recreational activities.

We also operate and maintain our parks and recreational facilities.  We oversee the landscaping and maintenance of various streetscapes and median islands throughout the city.

We have been bringing people together to celebrate, learn and and enjoy their community for over 100 years.
