Preparing for an Emergency
The City of San Gabriel, together with the San Gabriel Fire Department, is charged with providing disaster response services for the community. This is accomplished by the activation of an Emergency Operations Center as directed by the City Manager or his designee.
The entire city staff participates in annual and periodic disaster training exercises. 
Additionally, the city provides information on how residents and businesses can become better prepared for eventual disasters. You will find lifesaving materials and publications for download to share with your family, community, friends, co-workers and children at the Emergency Survival Program (ESP) website. 

General Information
The San Gabriel Fire Department is involved with preparedness for all possible disasters and emergencies. The Fire Department can give your family or business step-by-step guidance on disaster preparedness.

The Fire Department has developed a multi-hazard function plan that is available for review at City Hall (425 S. Mission Dr.), or at the San Gabriel Branch of the Los Angeles County Public Library (500 S. Del Mar Ave.).
