Fire Attack at a night drill.
The San Gabriel Fire Department Auxiliary Firefighter Program offers qualified individuals the opportunity to refine learned firefighting and EMT skills in a working environment.

The program is geared toward emulating a probationary firefighter’s experience, adapting to firehouse culture, and building the skills needed to secure a job in the fire service. The Auxiliary Firefighter will work toward attaining his or her Firefighter I certificate through the California State Fire Marshal’s Office. Paramedic school sponsorship is extended to those who qualify within the program.

We are looking for enthusiastic, honest, and dedicated individuals who are willing to put in the hard work on a volunteer basis. Two Auxiliaries are scheduled per day with a maximum of 14 on a roster.
