Kids Day & 4th of July Parade
Join the City of San Gabriel as we celebrate our country's independence. The parade will start at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Plaza Park, 428 South Mission Drive, in front of the San Gabriel Mission and continue North through the Mission District, continue East on Broadway and conclude at Smith Park, 232 West Broadway.

Registration is free, but you must register in order to be in the parade. Kids are welcome to ride their decorated tricycle, bike or scooter, or walk in the parade (prizes for best decorated).

Activities at Smith Park will include a watermelon eating contest, barbeque, games, entertainment and refreshments. Youth centered community groups will also host activities in the park. For more information call San Gabriel Parks and Recreation Department at (626) 308-2875.

Honor Wall
The City of San Gabriel will be honoring current and past members of the armed forces that reside in San Gabriel at this year's event. In honor of their service to our country an Honor Wall will be constructed that will display the name, branch, years served, and picture.
