A City Business License is required when conducting business within the City of San Gabriel. Applications and information on the requirements for obtaining a City Business License may be obtained in the Finance Department.

All commercial, industrial, professional, and home-based businesses must be licensed. Licenses are also required for apartment buildings containing four or more rental units, specialty businesses such as door-to-door peddling, businesses conducted by vehicle, vending machines, game machines, and seasonal or occasional activities such as pumpkin or Christmas tree sales, vending at festivals, or from mobile carts.
