JENNIFFER DAVIS:

Economic Development Manager

Jennifer received her Bachelor’s of Urban Planning Degree from the University of Cincinnati and has held several positions both with private architectural and planning firms and local governments.  She has over 24 years of experience and has worked in planning in Ohio, New York, South Carolina, California and most recently London, where she was the project manager for physical improvements projects in conservation areas.  Prior to her London experience, Jennifer was a Senior Planner for the City of West Hollywood for eleven years and worked on some of the largest developments in the city, negotiating a development agreement and the approvals for a large mixed-use development on the Sunset Strip just prior to her departure.  Jennifer also served as the Chair of the City of Glendale’s Historic Preservation Commission while a resident there.

Jennifer was attracted to the City of San Gabriel because it is a smaller city, has an established historic district, has adopted great Specific Plans, and has a reputation of co-operation among its staff and elected officials. The spirit of working together is a crucial ingredient for making things happen and making things happen is what she likes to do best!

On a personal note, Jennifer is certified to teach English as a Second Language, practices yoga, hikes (she has been known to rock climb), adores traveling, has a Masters Degree in English Literature and recently obtained an Advanced Certificate in Wine and Spirits from an internationally recognized educational trust.
