In an ongoing effort to engage the entire San Gabriel community, Police Chief Eugene Harris will hold the first-ever Boba With The Chief event on Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the Asian Youth Center, 100 W Clary Ave. The event will be a great opportunity for community members to interact with the chief in an informal setting, where they can feel comfortable asking questions and voicing concerns. There will be officers available to translate in Mandarin, Cantonese and Spanish. Tea Station will provide free boba drinks for all who attend. The event is part of a larger campaign Harris launched when he was hired in the city in October.
