4th of July Parade & Kids Day

The parade begins at 9:30 am in Plaza Park, will travel north through the Mission District, and conclude in Smith Park. Registration for parade entries will be taken up to and on the day of the event. Prizes will be awarded for the most patriotic costumes and parade entries. At Smith Park, enjoy FREE Kid's Day BBQ, games, community booths, crafts, and more!

The city will also be honoring members of the armed forces who reside in San Gabriel with an "Honor Wall" displaying the name, branch, years served, and photo. If you or someone you know served our country in one of the five branches of the United States Military we would like to display that information on the Wall.  Along with providing a photo we invite you to participate in this year’s parade.  To recognize a loved one please fill out the flyer from the link on the right side of this page and submit a 4” x 6” photo to the Parks and Recreation Department.  If you submitted an entry in 2011 or 2012 you DO NOT need to resubmit a photo, your honoree will automatically be acknowledged.

The person nominating the service member must provide their own phone number and address on the flyer and return the flyer with a 4”x 6” photo of the honored service member by June 1, 2013 to the San Gabriel Parks and Recreation Department, 250 S Mission Dr, CA  91776.
