The San Gabriel Fire Department invites you to “Fire Service Day” on Saturday, May 12th. The event is from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Fire Station 51, located at 1303 S. Del Mar Ave. Come and spend a few hours with your San Gabriel Firefighters enjoying; fun, food, Fire Station tours, live fire and rescue demos, and life safety training. The kids will have an opportunity to handle and operate a genuine fire hose. There will be live demonstrations of our Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) vehicle and equipment, and we will cut open vehicles with our “jaws of life” rescue tool. There will be members of the Community Emergency Response Team to answer questions about the CERT program. Please join us for our annual Open House.
