All events are held at Adult Recreation Center at 324 S Mission Dr, unless indicated otherwise.

Open Computer Time


Need to check your email or want to surf the internet, but don't have a computer?  Come enjoy free, open computer time!  Develop and improve your basic computer skills. No need to pre-register, just show up ready to surf the web!
(Beginning the week of November 14, 2016).

MedicAlert and Safe Return Membership


In an effort to significantly improve the safety of persons with Alzheimer's, the Alzheimer's Association and the MedicAlert Foundation have created an alliance to provide assistance when a person is lost and provide access to their vital medical information in the time of need. Enrollment package is available by contacting (800) 272-3900 or (323) 938-3379.

Ballroom Dance Class


If you have been itching to perfect your samba or enhance your foxtrot? Here's your chance!  Free instruction in many basic ballroom dances including waltz, polka, and even line dances. Instruction is offered in Chinese and English. Everyone is welcome!

Pickle Ball

Stay in shape and get some fresh air, join your friends for a friendly game of pickle ball!

Older Adult Clubs


Junipero Serra Senior Citizens Club


Meets at the Adult Recreation Center on the first Sunday of each month, 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Quilt with Friends


Meets every Tuesday at the Recreation Center, 250 S Mission Dr, 9 am to 2:30 pm

Bring your needle and thread or crochet hooks and yarn to knit. Everyone is welcome!  Bring your your supplies to work independently (no instructor available).

Sewing Circle


Meets at the Recreation Center on the first and third Thursday of each month, 9 am to 2:30 pm
This active group creates lap quilts for local hospitals and bed-ridden seniors.  Donations of materials, sewing notions, and supplies are greatly appreciated and can be left at the Recreation Center, 250 S Mission Dr.

Origami Creations


Meets at the Recreation Center on every Friday, 9 am to 11 am
This is a FREE course. Students are responsible for supplying their own materials. Instructor will go over the material list during your first visit.
