Youth Programs 

The Community Services Department offers after school recreation and sports programs during the school year, as well as summer recreation programs, and a summer day camp for San Gabriel youth. Along with these programs, the department provides a variety of trips and special events throughout the year for youth of all ages.

Bulldog Sports Camp


This sports camp is designed for middle school students. 
Jefferson Middle School:  (6/11 - 7/6)  Mon-Fri  12:30 - 3:30 pm
*Bulldog Sports Camp is a FREE program.

Summer Recreation


Summer Recreation sites for participants ages 18 and younger will be held at:
Smith Park:  (6/11 - 8/3)  Mon-Fri  9 am - 2 pm
Roosevelt Elementary:  (6/11 - 7/6)  Mon-Fri  12 pm - 5:30 pm
Roosevelt Elementary: (7/9 - 8/3)  Mon-Fri  11 am - 2 pm
Vincent Lugo Park:  (6/13 - 8/5)  Mon-Fri  11 am - 2 pm
McKinley Elementary:  (6/11 - 7/6)  Mon-Fri  12 pm - 5:30 pm
New! Marshall Park:  (6/11 - 8/3)  Mon-Fri  9 am - 2 pm
*Summer Recreation sites are FREE drop-in programs. Participants will be supervised but are free to drop-in/leave at any time.

Parks After Dark


Join us as we liven up our parks after dark!  We will make stops at Vincent Lugo and Marshall Park for an energetic good time as we keep everyone active with fun games and crafts!
Marshall Park:  Tuesdays at 6 pm
Vincent Lugo Park:  Thursdays at 6pm

Summer Day Camp


Our Cougar Adventure Camp at Coolidge Elementary features a variety of activities for youth, grades 1-8.  Each week, participants will visit a fun and educational location that matches the theme for the week.  Camp is limited and fills up quickly, registration begins May 7thSummer Day Camp Registration must be completed and submitted to our office with payment.  For pricing and schedule info, please see Summer Day Camp Schedule
