The Adult Recreation Center is open Monday thru Friday for adults who are 50 years of age and older. 

From 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, older adults are welcome to come in and socialize.
Throughout the week, we offer a variety of activities and programs. To see a detailed list, please visit our Adult Center Activities Page.

Hot lunch is served daily at the Adult Center, choose from the American or Chinese menu.  Call ahead to reserve your meal (626) 308-2823.  For more information, see our Nutrition Programs Page.    

Pickle Ball at Smith Park


PickleballOpen Court Time
Come and enjoy a friendly game of Pickleball during open court time at Smith Park!  Pickleball is a fun, low impact racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis, and is suitable for all ages!  Get some fresh air and exercise and enjoy this fast-growing sport!

Open Court Pickleball Time: 
Mondays and Wednesdays, 9am - 12pm, Smith Park Tennis Courts

The City of San Gabriel, in conjunction with the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, is sponsoring an “Older American Recognition Day”. The Community Services Department is soliciting public input in determining San Gabriel’s Outstanding Older American. 

Nominations for this award will be accepted through February 1, 2019.
